Welcome to Hand Therapy Canada
Thank you for visiting Hand Therapy Canada. Our goal is to provide evidence based hand and upper extremity therapy and splinting/orthotics services across Canada. We ONLY provide therapy services for the hand and upper limb. We currently have two offices in Ontario. Our London location serves all of Southwestern Ontario and our Ottawa location serves clients in our nation's Capital. We expect two more locations within Canada by the end of 2013.
According to the HTCC, hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper limb, which includes the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder girdle. It is a merging of occupational therapy and physical therapy theory and practice that combines comprehensive knowledge of the structure of the upper limb with function and activity. Using specialized skills in assessment, planning and treatment, hand therapists provide therapeutic interventions to prevent dysfunction, restore function and/or reverse the progression of pathology of the upper limb in order to enhance an individuals's ability to execute tasks and to participate fully in life situations.

- Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy services focussing on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- 1 on 1 treatment
- Splinting of the hand, wrist and elbow
- Therapy for tendonitis, tendon injuries, fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tennis elbow, cumulative trauma, and all upper extremity trauma and injury
- Acupuncture treatment
- Direct billing to WSIB and extended health insurance plans
