Sarah Mawhinney PT, CHT

Sarah Mawhinney (she/her) achieved her Masters of Physical Therapy from Western University in 2005. She has been treating upper extremity conditions exclusively since 2009 and currently works at several hospitals in the Burlington area treating traumatic and post operative conditions.

Sarah has pursued post graduate training in manual therapy, acupuncture and thermoplastic splinting of the upper extremity. In 2021, she achieved her certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Sarah has mentored many physiotherapy students and takes pride in introducing them to the dynamic field of hand therapy. Playing a part in helping her patients return to everything they love to do is what brings Sarah the most joy.

When she's not in the clinic, Sarah can be found working towards her next powerlifting goal and hiking with her family and dog, Juno.
